AST Medical awarded surgical mask agreement with Region Kalmar län
AST Medical has been selected as one of three suppliers of surgical masks to Region Kalmar län in Sweden, securing first and second positions across two product categories.
The agreement covers two types of tie-on surgical masks. AST Medical is ranked first for anti-fog surgical masks with a PU foam strip, supplied by Transo Medical, and second for Splash Plus surgical masks, supplied by Yibon.
The two positions represent a combined estimated annual volume of approximately 38,000 units. As orders are placed according to supplier ranking, actual deliveries will depend on the region's purchasing requirements.
Both mask types are designed for use in clinical environments, with features supporting secure positioning and protection during medical procedures. The anti-fog version includes a foam strip to help reduce fogging of protective eyewear.
The agreement takes effect on 1 May 2026 and runs for an initial two years, with the option of up to two additional years.
